BMW thinks older cars should be retained

One of the company's executives, Monika Dernai, stated that existing vehicles should be upgraded instead of buying new vehicles.

German automobile manufacturer BMW offers many different products to its customers, from family SUVs to sports cars. Although the prices of the vehicles are a little more expensive than their competitors, you can have very high quality vehicles for your money and you can use them for a long time without any problems.

Although we use it without any problems, many of us want to buy it when a new car is introduced. But Monika Dernai, BMW's Head of Sustainability, disagrees with us. Dernai recently gave a speech to an audience in London about how the automobile industry's environmental impact and waste can be reduced.

During this speech, Dernai explained that we should not buy every new car and that it is better to use the vehicles by making upgrades to protect the nature. In the continuation of his statements, the President of Sustainability emphasized that it is very important for the interior to be changeable.

Giving the seats of a vehicle as an example, Dernai stated that with the cars whose seats can be changed in the future, consumption will be reduced and unnecessary vehicle purchases can be prevented. In general, upgrading cars is actually quite enjoyable. Maybe in line with these explanations, we may see such vehicles from the company in the future.
