Fernando Alonso has in mind to win again in Formula 1. The Asturian, on his way to the three-time championship, has chosen Aston Martin as the ideal place to fight for victories again despite the fact that the British have not had the year 2022 that they expected. Now, a legendary expilot like David Coulthard has launched a forceful phrase about the former Alpine.
Because the Scotsman has no doubts about Alonso’s level, but he does question the decisions he has made throughout his sports career.
“Fernando should have achieved more than two titles, but their choices…”, says Coulthard in words collected by the media ‘Formule1.nl’.
And he continues: “Now, the racing gods have put him in Aston Martin, and the chances of being a champion there are slim”.
“And what Alonso has all the qualities to reign in Formula 1″, adds the ex of teams like McLaren about Fernando.
In addition, he is clear about it: “Hamilton could have been champion nine times instead of seven. He has almost always had a good car, but not someone like Alonso”.
All this to launch a notice to Max Verstappen: “Your era may stay in two titles. No one knows all that in advance. He’s a brilliant driver, but he may be left without a winning car.”
