Tired of ordering delivery every time you crave pizza? With this easy homemade pizza recipe, you can make delicious, fresh pizza right in your own kitchen. No need to rely on takeout when you can prepare this crowd-pleasing pizza that's ready in just over an hour.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 packet instant yeast
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups flour

For the Sauce:

  • 1 teaspoon tomato paste
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt (optional if tomato paste is salty)

Toppings:

  • Grated mozzarella cheese
  • Pepperoni
  • Mushrooms
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Corn
  • Green peppers
  • Red chili peppers
  • Olives
  • Oregano
  • Salt

How to Make Challenge-Ready 1 Tray Pizza

First, in a large bowl, combine the warm water, milk, sugar and yeast. Mix well with a whisk.

Next, add the oil and gradually mix in the sifted flour. Continue mixing as the dough starts to come together.

Once the dough is firming up, knead it by hand until you have a soft, slightly sticky dough.

Sprinkle some flour on the bottom of the bowl and form the dough into a ball. Place it in the bowl and sprinkle a bit more flour on top.

Cover the dough tightly with plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for 40-60 minutes.

Meanwhile, combine all the sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

Prepare the desired toppings.

Once risen, turn the dough out onto a well-floured surface and roll it out to the size of your baking sheet. You can also use a large round pan.

Place the rolled out dough on a greased baking sheet and smooth out any uneven spots with your hands.

Poke holes all over the dough with a fork so it doesn't rise too much.

Spread the sauce evenly over the surface.

Top with grated mozzarella, then add your choice of toppings. Sprinkle with oregano. Optional.

Cover with a towel and let rise for 10 more minutes.

Bake in a preheated 180°C oven until the cheese melts and toppings are cooked through.

Remove pizza from oven, slice and enjoy!

Note: Feel free to customize your toppings. My daughter doesn't like olives so I leave them off, but it's delicious no matter what you add!
