Tesla Cybertruck Prevails Against Ford Raptor R in Intense Drag Race
All-electric pickup truck defeats combustion rival even while running on dirt road
Raptor R Boasts Impressive Specs But Can't Keep Up
The recently released Tesla Cybertruck has been pitted against many opponents in races, including the lightning-fast Ford F-150 Raptor R pickup. Despite the Raptor R's intimidating size and blistering speed, it was no match for the Cybertruck's instant electric torque.
Weighing 6,000 pounds with a thundering 700 horsepower V8, the Raptor R seems tailored for desert racing. Against the heavier, more powerful Cybertruck though, it came up short each time in standing and rolling quarter mile races.
Cybertruck Dominates Even on Dirt
To give the Raptor R an advantage, the Cybertruck raced on loose dirt while the Ford remained on pavement. Remarkably, the Tesla still crossed the line first, demonstrating the superior traction and control of its sophisticated all-wheel drive system.
Though costing over $109,000, the Raptor R couldn't outrun the $99,990 Cybertruck despite favorable conditions. This shows that electric drivetrains like Tesla's can outperform even the strongest gas-powered pickups.
Electric Torque Triumphs
With 845 horsepower and massive instant torque, the Cybertruck simply could not be caught. Even weighing over 2 tons, it accelerates unlike any other pickup. While tough in its own right, the Raptor R seems outdated next to the high-tech Cybertruck.
